Why was RealRate born?
Amid inflation and constant swings in currency and gold rates, gauging the real value of assets and protecting purchasing power has become one of the biggest challenges for families and economic actors. Meanwhile, most existing platforms either depend on particular sellers and exchanges, or keep users' confidential data unencrypted on their servers.
RealRate was designed as a completely independent, non-profit project that offers an accurate, bubble-free mathematical assessment of the market, with no conflict of interest, and makes monitoring finances easier for everyone.

Our commitment to open source
RealRate's source code is publicly available to everyone on GitHub under the MIT license. This means any user can examine how the formulas work, how the encryption is done and the code line by line.
Being open source is the clearest guarantee of security, because no backdoor, suspicious code or hidden tracking can be planted in a public project. We welcome contributions from developers, financial analysts and web enthusiasts.

At RealRate, our founding principle is complete respect for the ownership of user data. We use a zero-knowledge, end-to-end encrypted architecture, so even RealRate's administrators cannot see your asset, cheque or income figures.
